Growing the Golden Mustache Outdoors

The Golden Mustache thrives in tropical conditions and in large amounts of space, such as the outdoors. If you live in a warm place, you will be able to grow thriving plants, year-round!

Climate Requirements

The Golden Mustache plant, as far as I know, has very few requirements for outdoor gardening. The main requirement is that the temperature is above 8°C (about 40°F), and this is important, as the plant will freeze to death at any temperature lower than this. Also, you may want to take humidity into account - the golden mustache prefers high-humidity environments, and will not make flowers in a low temperature environment.

Which support method should I use?

The advantage of growing the Golden Mustache outdoors is that your plants will have extensive space to grow their runners and spread out, just like they would in nature. Because of this, you can very effectively grow the plants in a raised bed or in open ground. However, you can also support the plants with stakes or grow them in hanging baskets if you wish.
